Good Morning everyone...
I am a Brand new agent In CA. with P&C & l&h License.
Ridiculous yet realistic questions for experts & seasoned
agents are:......
Does the skin color would be deciding factor when doing
Face to face representation & time to sign doted line ?

Can my foreign accent block my hard work & end up in a
cold or negative response....???

Please let me know at your convenience.

Much much needed advise for a introvert agent.

Thanks a lot..... Warmest Regards,

Race and accent can be an advantage or disadvantage depending upon who you are trying to sell to. In a place like California I do not think it will keep you from being successful.

In California, there are many ethnic markets where you can do a LOT of work.

Even with the rest of us, as long as you are trying to make yourself clear and are patient with us trying to understand you, you should be fine.

I worked with an agent who had a HEAVY Russian accent. He was very likeable and not only served the Russian-American community but many others.

Sometimes I think an accent helps others to listen to you more closely than if you spoke perfect English.

One of the legends in the world of insurance.. You can imagine how thick his accent was 60 years ago.. I met him and heard him speak 40 years ago and I could barely understand him at that time.
