Commissions and Renewals on Med Supp

I'm located in Alabama.
I'm new to Med Supp, not new to insurance.
I am a semi-retired 30 year life and Di guy.
Thanks,
Shooter

Why would renewals be half of fyc? Med supps dont pay like that.

Here in California, "base" commissions typically are 20% 1st year, 10% renewals for life. This would be with Anthem Blue Cross, and, Blue of Shield of California. Production determines your exact commission structure. I'm stilling getting 10% renewals on business I wrote 30+ years ago. Of course, most life companies cut commission off after 6 years.
