Help Wanted from Email Pros

I am using google apps as my email server, but i retrieve the email on my desktop with outlook.

I want to auto archive items 1 year or older.

After archiving, i want it to remove from the server, but keep the archive as backup.

Anyway to achieve this? I only found options to delete items from server when i delete from trash.

Use Outlook to archived those emails. And get you a backup service or clone your hard drive. Cloning I think is a better option
