How Are Small Group Agents Doing?

It's been a while for me since I have been on this forum. Our agency decided to move out of the health insurance business back in 2014. I have also left the insurance business for another profession. I don't regret it one bit.

I am curious how HCR has affected Small Group agents. From my 30,000 foot view, I am guessing that agencies that have the resources to handle more volume are doing better because they can handle the renewal period among multiple groups with more efficiency.

Are commissions lower or higher compared to pre-HCR? Have you left the business or has your business done better since HCR?

I hope everyone is doing well.
