The significant difference is under the ACA the insurance company picks up 100% after the OOP is reached. This is why unsubsidized premiums for those in their 60's can run $600 to $1,000+ a month.Do you really think there won't me a limit on the out of pocket similar to Obamacrap? Why would anyone need a supplement to cover a max OOP of $6K?

Under a single payer Medicare with an OOP limit of $6K the government would pick up 100% of everything above the OOP limit, not an insurance company. It seems highly unlikely Congress would ever pass legislation where the government would pay 100% on all expenses after an OOP max for all 50 million plus Medicare beneficiaries.
That said, the past seven years does show us many things we thought unheard of in this country are possible.
