Is anyone running into this problem?
I write Anthem mapds. Anthem has a snp for Medicaid people, but many of those prospects are designated by Medicaid as Magi. My understanding is that Magi is a pre medicare designation, basically meaning that this is a medicaid person eligible for plans on the aca. But many of my prospects are still being designated as magi, even though they are within their icep, which means that I can't write them, because magi doesn't pair with Anthem's snps. This magi designation is still attached to many of my clients after they are on medicare. It seems that medicaid isn't updating this designation. Maybe they are doing this deliberately. So I still cant write them, even thought the state has stepped in and given them a medicaid mapd. Does this make sense to anybody? Anybody running into this? Thanks!
