So, here is the situation:
My insurance agency is licensed in NJ and PA. We are located in NJ and have a non-resident agency license in PA.
I received a notice about needing to file corporate net income tax in PA for 2015 and 2016 and franchise tax for 2015. Apparently I was supposed to file for my LLC but didn't?
I do not write business under my agency name and my agency is no longer licensed in PA anyway and I was not aware that I had to file. I probably wrote 5 insurance policies for PA clients when I was licensed and it was done by phone.
Does anyone know if my agency would actually be exempt or what I am supposed to do to get this cleared up?
