Question about carrier appointments

Hello everyone,

I am currently working as an Associate Agent for an independent agency. I am in the process of starting my own agency and I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any type of conflict of interest if I start searching and applying for carrier appointments while I am working for an agency where I have appointment under the current agency I work for.

Just discuss it with them. Every situation is different.

As an agency owner I would be pretty butthurt. Probably better just do it all at once and let him know what is going on even though its risky.
