This morning I got a phone call and the caller ID said UHC PHD. It wasn’t a robocall—the woman who called told me that I needed to finish the conflict of interest form in my account on Sircon. She even offered to stay on the line and point me to the place where I could update the form. I asked her to email me that info and I would take care of it later.
Although I never received the promised email from her, later I logged into Sircon. I couldn’t find info about any missing form, so I called UHC PHD. The CSR was baffled by what happened because UHC would NEVER call with that kind of request—it would always be an email—and my conflict of interest form was filed some months ago. The CSR filed an incident report in case spoofing calls like this became a pattern.
