The Check is in the Mail....

Even if paid by check, direct bill monthly presistency stinks. It costs carriers more (even with a .09 load), and we'll be chasing clients down to nurse a year premium out of them.

I will try my best to get them on some auto pay method (bank draft, debit card draft, etc.).

Big difference when people have to decide to write a premium check every month, vs people having to decide to stop a payment.

Feds are clueless.

How lazy do you have to be to not go to Walmart and sign up for Amex Bluebird(which offers a free checking account and checks)?

It isn't laziness, it is a complete inability to manage money and no desire to learn. Unless they have cash in hand it seems part of society is unable to comprehend how much money they actually have to stay in budget.

Rather like government.

It is not being lazy but rather their inability to manage their checking account. Ask agents who sell FE how many letters they get from carriers notifying them that the bank draft for the policy did not go through because of insufficient funds.
