Went to Chem Dependency Rehab 5+ Yrs Ago.. Applying to BCBS

Hi there..

I went into rehab 5+ years ago. Now I'll be applying to BCBS through employer plan. Will I have any problems when applying?

There is a question that asks if you were covered by a state plan (which I was) for pre existing conditions. Will I be OK since I was accepted into treatment more than 5 years ago.

I can't be sure for all states, as it seems certain things differ. In Ohio, you cannot be turned down on a group plan with 2+ employees. The way the pre existing works will depend on if you had continous credible coverage and no gaps over 63 days. Like I said though, it could all be different where ever you are.
The way this last year has gone, there may be a new law/bill, etc... that changes everything!!
