We have had mixed success with using a dialer system, it is not something that I would use as my sole method but I have found it a good way to fill in the gaps.

Not sure about any of you BUT we have had ZERO success with telemarketing. It may work in a business to business insurance aspect, but never (ok, a few sales here and there) worked for us. I feel its a huge waste of money.

Any other positive / negative experiences?

What are you selling? Most of the insurance products sold well via telemarketing.

I'm having an extremely positive experience with my dialer. I got it up and running and put 5 overseas telemarketers on it and we've been able to fairly consistently generate leads. It's a lot of work and it's much more successful when you're putting a lot of horsepower behind it, but I'm a huge fan of telemarketing for insurance leads!

How long have you been using telemarketing? It does take time to develop a successful campaign.
