Ethics? A few years back they claimed they were underwritten by Chesapeake and had their logo on their brochures.
I decided to dig a bit and contacted Chesapeake. One of their lawyers called, wanted to know everything I knew about them which was nothing. He stated they were not underwritten by Chesapeake and they'd launch and investigation.
Boom - few days later Chesapeake was on their brochure and another carrier was on it. I contacted that other carrier and boom - a few weeks later that other carrier was off their brochure and well.....so it goes.
Payments do not go to the carrier, they don't even go to AIM, they go to this "IRG" business - Internet Resource Group.
When I tried to dig into that some AIM honcho admitted that IRG doesn't even have a website.
So how does the underwriting carrier get their money? IRG has to send it to them. How does the client know their premiums are being sent to the carrier? Who knows.
I tried to research the "Association of Independent Managers" (AIM) and found their website. I called the number and someone picked it up saying "hello?" I said "yeah, hello?" He responded "what do you want?" I said that I was trying to call the Association of Independent Managers." He was caught very off guard but said "oh, yeah...that's us."
Depending on the month the brochure changes. Now plans are offered through the "CEO Club?" Can anyone here selling AIM please tell me what the CEO club is?
The brochure also claims the person can not have a break in coverage of more than 62 days. It's 63, at least according to the gov't website.

The entire design looks like it was put together by someone who just learned to create a PDF file. The graphics are terrible. I notice little things:
Individuals between the ages 18 - 64(if applying as a couple,...
- no space between 64 and (if) - sloppy.
I notice wording:
required premium charges on time
Odd statement "premium charges" - never see it referred to as charges.
It's simply sloppy which should cause other agents to pause and ask more questions.
