Katz is a good guy... knows this biz in and out. However, he is more of a company man these days.
His bio is impressive but I can't figure out if he EVER was on the street selling insurance, as opposed to managing those who do or doing general agency or running Wellpoint.
I've met him twice and we've had short chats about reform. I tend to think he is in denial about the problems with the IFP system, but that is to be expected since it is the big hitters in this biz
who hire him to speak and commission
his studies.
He's a likable guy but I got the feeling that when it comes to discussion of the issues, it is all about him, and not much about you. I suppose making a gazilliion dollars as a
gran fromage VP at Wellpoint might do that to a person.
