There are only two that I know that I would trust my first born male child with, Anthony Pelliccio and Josh Vandenberg, both became members of this forum at my request.

I consider both of them as friends. They have always been there if I needed anything.

Nah, SAI, last time I checked my BP was 98 over 47. It's just that sometimes I feel like English must be a second language!

I'm with you arnguy. I understand the occasional typo, but it's usually pretty clear when it's because someone just doesn't know. My favorite spoken word,

"That's a whole 'nuther' story".

I still haven't figured out what a "nuther" is.

Thank you, sman. Yes, we all make typos---they are forgiveable. It's the other stuff that makes me shudder.

You asked the question, I was just answering it. I think that is a great idea, why don't you copy and past it in that thread?

Have a great weekend.

This is dedicated to arnguy: my ocb grammatical and mechanical man. I appreciate you calling me out when I err; b/c I'm lazy, I did not check my spelling and I can also appreciate you having the time to ascertain words - or perhaps - you're just merely a better, seasoned speller. Thank you for correcting me. I can also appreciate your devotion to English as a whole: semantics, grammatics, mechanics, linguistics, etc. etc. - a lost love... 2 me anyway... seems like a lifetime ago... and sometimes it doesn't.

Sman, I can assure you there are things I do know and things I may be 'iffy' but don't have the time, desire, nor feel like looking up. (and yes I did intend to end this sentence with a prep).

I'll call myself out and have no problemo in doing so. I've become very laxed (did I make you cringe?!?!) on this board and daily convo.. but make no mistake, I know English and not as a second language.

So I tip my hat and bow to the folks on here that are willing to allocate their time for calling out my errors - intentional and non - in addition to the other members' faulted etymology too; but please do not assume that one does not know. That's all - no big deal.. k.

And I have to do much better 2 with being presumptive.
I am not proofing nor spell checking.... Cheers! And I'm not planning on starting now either.. bottom line.. did you conjecture my thoughts? Ok, great. Let's move on... onto the topic at hand....

Now 4 the end result you may ask? Some of you are just going to have to deal with cringing and or ascending and descending blood levels... whatever gets you moving guys... 'pick your battles' and don't sweat the small stuff... or sweat the small stuff if that gets your jollies... it's all gooooooooooood. Thanks again. I'll try 2 remember... but can't make any promises.

C, there I go again... being presumptive. I need to work on this and I'm calling myself out again. I'm getting slightly better.. I'll admit. Slightly being the operative word. (and yes I like this fragment.. it's working 4 me momentarily)....

I am so sorry if I've confused you or anyone else, or if I've offended anybody. B/c the avatar looks like something ( 2 me anyway) that a girl would pick, I assumed the Doc is female. I honestly don't know, however.

All I know is I really need to improve on being assumptive much more and learn 2 be more attentive 2 certain details that are VERY IMPORTANT for some.

A work in progress.... I'm trying.... and I'm not perfect nor profess 2 be.

Honestagent, I wasn't calling you out. I was speaking in general terms. However, I find it hard to believe that saying "upsurd" instead of "absurd" was you just being lax? If it was, my bad. Can you tell me what upsurd means? Because now I feel like an idiot.

Re: AARP Secure Horizons             Go to Top

Honestagent, that remark about English as a second language was not aimed specifically at you. It was a generalization aimed shotgun style at whomever it may concern among the 150+ members of this forum. My Post #24 about upsurd and absurd was to call attention to your error. I suggest you cool your jets and lower your sensitivity thermostat. I recall that some time ago you really got bent out of shape because I called to your attention the overuse and misuse of "whom." At that time I did not respond to your tirade because I did not want to dignify it with an answer. It believe it was Harry Truman who said, "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen."

BTW, you are double posting again. One of the other members brought that to your attention the other day. Are you trying to build up your number of posts? Please refrain from doing it at my expense!

Senior, who ever said I have a heart? Yeah, that reading was pretty low. One of the side effects of Cialis. Of course, the good side effect is that 4 hour thing! (Just joking) I think it was too much tequila. I could hardly fog a mirror that day. Normally BP hovers around 116-120 over 60-65. Thanks for your concern.
