Yes, because we all know how the Carriers will readily pass along the cost savings by reducing premiums. I'm sure this will eliminate alot of risk and have a huge impact on the actual cost of healthcare. Also, since every health insurance policy is exactly the same, why the heck to they need us to choose anyway?

While they are at it, maybe they could create navigators for all financial services since the public needs little or no guidance on planning for their future or protecting their assets. Maybe we could also cut the the number of Congressmen in D.C. while we are at it? There is another fantastic cost-saving measure to reduce unneccesary spending to finance free healthcare for everyone.

Perhaps one day we will acheive a Utopian society where no one will every have to make decisions or be responsible for themselves and everything will be rainbows and ice cream cones.....

The Senator from Chappaquiddick knows that in the end single payer is not going to fly.

His fallback position is to try for the "public option" and then have that in the health exchange (or Gateway as his plan is going to call it). Then you rig the public option so that it is the one that folks would want because the government has the power to subsidize and pretend that it is not. Then in the next phase of reform you say "see we gave the folks a choice and the public programs turned out to be the one they wanted, so let's do more." The public option is a trojan horse.

Also, keep in mind that President Lenin says that the only way that competition and free enterprise can work is if you have a government program in there competing to keep everyone else honest. (like Fannae Mae, but I digress).

So.......to recap.....we will have a public option for banks, a public option for automobiles, and a public option for health care. Perhaps if Vladimir Obama creates a public option for grocery stores the prices might be lower there and that might be the wave of the future.

Commies. All of them.
