Only inexperienced and un-productive agents are going to be running quotes for anything other than term on a cell phone... or even a lap/desktop.
When you get busy enough, running WL or UL quotes is a poor use of your time. I find it best to send all of these quotes to a
GA and let them do it while I concentrate on sales and marketing.
As for term, why would anyone pay money for a quote engine when every
GA on the planet has an online term quote engine... most often from iPipeline.
I've been recently working with Nick Perry (on this board) and he runs WL and UL quotes and gets back to me in several hours. Same with Brokers Alliance (for UL... they don't quote WL.) I believe Nick uses Compulife... which is fine. Why would YOU want to pay the Compulife fee when you can get the results from a
GA for free? Most GAs are getting a 30+ point override off of your efforts. Damn right that they should do your quoting. Your job is to be prospecting and selling.
Even if your
GA takes 24 hours, how many cases are you going to lose because you don't do a quote on your cell phone... Android, iPhone... or whatever.
Running your own quotes is "old school"... right up there with the old rate books. The productive agent delegates this to the
GA and spends his/her time prospecting and selling. A program like Compulife, for agents who understand the paradigm of prospecting, marketing and sales in today's competitive environment ... is an anachronism.
