Genworth Drops Variable Annuities

Genworth Financial Inc. says it is discontinuing new sales of retail variable annuities and group variable annuities.
Genworth, Richmond, Va. (NYSE: GNW), also is suspending sales of combination annuities linked to long term care insurance “until that market develops further,” the company says.

Genworth will continues to sell linked benefit products that combine life insurance and long term care insurance.

I got those emails too. I wonder if this is a sign to come with other companies offering similar products..

I got an email about their life products. What contract should I look for with them? I've been selling life for 22 years. They haven't come across my radar (that I can recall) before this. According to their email the underwriting is leinient.
