I'm sorry I got involved with this thread and even sorrier I got involved with Annuity Lead Source. I wish I had even one appt through them that seemed viable. I upset neilman, though not intentionally. I hope he is for real and is getting good appts, though I have my doubts.

Can you send me the file on this company that you mentioned. Also, have you ever heard of JR Wallstreet? I think they might be a spin off of Estateplanningleads which sucked horribly.
It is UNIS Teleservices - Home - Outbound, Inbound, Lead Generation, Teleservices I do not vouch for them or anyone else. I used this guy and his team a few years back and I sold at least 20% of the appts an annuity. The appts he is setting now are well over $100 each. If they are like they were a couple years ago AND you know your stuff, they are probably well worth it.
I filed a complaint with the LA Better Business Bureau. So far the "company" has not responded. Suprised, huh? I'd suggest that anyone else who felt ripped off by these scammers at ALS do likewise, free and easy.
I have been using Annuity lead source for the past 2 months. They have set me 2 appointments where the individual had no idea why I was there, it actually was quite embarrassing. I am in agreement with Patch and I believe Neilman is a plant, someone from annuity lead source. Annuity lead source talks a big game, however, they have not produced. In this business, talk is talk, numbers do not lie...MATH IS NOT AN OPINION!! Neilman, if Annuity Lead Source is sooooo great, why are you the ONLY one here praising them? I would like to see actuall commission statements to back up your claims. I have been in the business for 6 years, sales for 29 years, and this is the best 'smoke and mirrors' act I have encountered. For a lead to be a lead it needs to be qualified. Annuity Lead Source leads are NOT QUALIFIED. I would like to hear from someone other than Neilman that have had success with this company. I have written over $200K in annuities over the past 2 months using my own program. Annuity Lead Source has not even come close to honoring our written agreement and I am going to be asking for a refund.
Hey Jimmy, I am with you looks like this guy is a fraud and I am glad you guys have advised some of us that are new not to use them. Can you recommend any company or system to get annuity leads. I have been selling annuities for about a year and have had some success but none like what you speak of.

After demanding my money back and not hearing from John Wate, I filed a complaint with the LA Better Business Bureau. Wate's response, "it was my fault." He left the clear implication that I never submitted my weekly schedules. This happened once in the 12 weeks I sat by the phone waiting on these clowns to set appointments. And, it happened after I first called for my money back and had esentially given up on the company. Still haven't received a refund, though he claims it is being processed. I would advise anyone dissatisfied with these people to complain to the BBB. I am also looking into, through a friend high in the Calif. Justice Dept., the possibility of bringing a criminal action, fraud related, to the Annuity Lead Source front door. will let all know how that developes.
BilllyB...the primary objective is to get in front of interested parties. I work with a lead program geared towards life insurance. That gets me in the door and I provide them life coverage, then I just dig deeper to mine for the annuity opportunities. I am all about educating my clients. I also own what I offer.

Well put. A lead or an appt is only an opportunity to talk to a potential client. No promise of success, just a simple opportunity to get in the door and talk.
I agree with Patch, Annuity Lead Source was a complete joke. 20 appointments were set, I originally bought 30 leads but somehow they felt 20 was good enough for me. Out of the 20 I had 8 that didn't even know what I was talking about, 7 I could never get ahold of and the remaining 5 thought I was just going to drop off a paper for them to sign which would entitle them to an immediate 10% bonus on their annuity. If someone is having success with this company it is complete luck...I mean, I would have better success going from door to door in any neighborhood.
I've had great success creating my own lead sources for annuities by going to local banks, and credit unions establishing relationships with the bankers for referrals. There are some banks that don't have financial advisory services.
Still waiting on my refund that is being "processed." Would recommend anyone who has had problems with these scammers to post a "review" on the LA Better Business Bureau -labbb.org - site after typing in Annuity Lead Source. That window gives you an opportunity to describe your experiences with this outfit. Beware of another similiar group "White Bridge." Some agents I know tried this outfit, also in LA, similiar business model, similiar results
I am running their program now. I do not know why people are putting them down. Since starting 2 months ago, I have closed 3 deals and made my money back and more. Maybe some people do not have the people skills and likeability factor. If you have these skills, I do not see why you cannot be successful.
It's been 2 weeks since I last posted on this forum, and I was surprised to see that producersama is still making complaints about this company (you have too much free time in my opinion). I have since been on 3 appointments, 1 was not home (it happens), I have a follow up with the 2nd in January '09, and the 3rd resulted in a transfer of a $75k cd with B of A. Again, I am a proffesional, I do not show up at a clients home expecting a sale. I am there to show them how I can benefit them from a financial aspect and give them perspective in the financial turmoil everyone has been witness to lately.
Keep everything in perspective when you meet a client, and go to their home, or if they come to you have the mindset of I am going to help this indvidual(s) financially if a) you have the ability to do so with whatever tools you are in control of, (b) they are open to suggestions/2nd opinion.
Again, annuity lead source has done very well for me so far, as of January I will make them my exclusive lead vendor, and I have worked with many, they give me the oppertunity to spend less time prospecting and more time helping people with their finances, which is why I am in this undustry to begin with. "Aren't we all?"

YMMV should have been the topic of this forum rather than annuity lead source. The number of posts is irrelevant to my success. The appointment is only as good as the advisor, why not try an online lead company where the sell the same lead to 10 advisors at the same time, let me know if you do any better there.
This is a good company, and there are some advisors out there for whom this company is not a match, but making your unsuccesful attempts at meeting with new clients another person/company's problem is not right either, better to keep that information to ones self.
I have successfully run preset appts for 4 years. I know a good appointment. I know that not all appointments are going to be good. Even under the best system over half the appointments are going to be no shows, one legged, and not qualified. Not only did they fail to set appts, the few they did set were horrible, misled and unqualifed. The appointment setter lied to them and to me repeatedly.
If I were not successful I would believe you. I am successful so I know you are either in a target rich environment or a liar and plant from ALS. If one newby resists the urge to throw his or her money away with your company, I am good with exposing myself to your lame attempt to lay the failure on me.
Sell on, there are plenty of suckers left to cheat.

I didn't label anyone, you labeled me. All I have ever done is tell what my experience is with ALS. I have done presets for a lot of years, I know good from bad, and I was giving my opinion. As for my success or ability...this is the internet, I can claim anything I want and you can call me a liar. I have the time to respond to your BS because I am successful...or I am a couchbroke retard. Take your pick.
I hope things are going well for you with ALS. That was not my experience. They were and still are very difficult to work with, they have not lived up to their repeated promise to refund my money, and their appts were bad for me. I realize after all of you and your buddies posted great experiences with ALS what a failure I am. I just hope that someday I can attain the level of success you enjoy.
