First off I don't post much on this forum, I get more information here in just reading than I do from any of my FMO's, thank you all.
Question: I have a list of people who's annuities are about to expire and would like to know the best way to approach these people???
I have sold some annuities, know how they work, but not an expert by far. I thought about contacting them with the approach of a rollover with the long term care, the new one from Legacy.

Any help is appreciated.
Lincoln has a good Money Guard Product that you may want to look into.
Mmmm.... brings to mind a possible marketing campaign.
"Free Annuity Checkup"
"Do you own any annuities? When was the last time you had them checked by an expert? Did you know that older annuities can be replaced tax-free for newer annuities that may have better rates and more features?"
Direct mail, newspaper, whatever. Could bring in some business for those of us who don't have a list of expired annuities.
Other things that could be in the ad: "How sound is the company that has your annuity? We can do a free analysis of company strength for you."
If the list is big enough Be like shooting fish in a barrel as they say...
I have plenty of ammunition..............

Between new annuity product and market fluctuation, now is a good time to review their current annuities and see if it makes sense to keep them until maturity.
If they have an fia with annual point to point and the reset was in September, then it may make sense to move them to a new fia so they can capture the interest rate on market gain if it increases in the next year. In other words, if the reset has them at S&P 1400, then by replacing the annuity you can get them S&P 900 and if the market recovers they can get better than 0% for the year. This can still be appropriate even if they have a surrender charge since you can find an fia that has a bonus to offset it.
I would call them and talk about new annuities and offer of review to see if it makes sense to keep what they have. Sometimes in the final year or two of an annuity it makes sense to move the money. But until you fully review their specific annuities and current financial goals, you are unable to make a sound recommendation.
This list is for the St Petersburg, FL area. Has name, address, phone #, approx age of person, approx amount of annuity, most are fixed annuities and not on the do not call list.
I have called on some of them, but I do not have a workable script.
I like some of the ideas you all have presented and may try agian.

I know a guy who works down there, maybe you could work a deal. Let me know if you would like his contact info.

Ouch. I don't think I would have that problem here. I guess Arkansas is different. On what basis was there an objection? Was it just the idea of suggesting to people that they might be better off changing to a new policy? That sounds like DOI thinking -just appearances, not what is best for a particular client.
Ok, I don't have enough post to PM anyone, so here goes.
I did purchase the Annuity Leads from Prestige Marketing, you should be able to find them online.
I have worked the list because I have not worked annuities enough and need to work with someone. or
I just need a good script to make the calls, which is my biggest problem. With a script I have no problem making the calls it's just going on from there. I have only done two rollovers and they are very happy, but that was not from this list.
This forum has really been great. Many, many thanks to all and Happy New Year

I know an agent in St Petersburg, FL that is very successful. He does about $7mm to $8 million in annuities. I would be glad to talk to him for you. He would be a good mentor. He will also be able to reciprocate on leads moving forward with his lead system. Let me know. Be glad to help. Also, should have a few scripts for you by Monday.

They objected based on me being able to give better advice than another agent; and that showing one company is better than another. Even though the ad stated "free Annuity Checkup"; The DOI asked what constituted me as an individual who is capable of giving a "True Annuity Checkup."
I even received a call from them this week saying that I did not need to help a client file a DOI complaint. I had a customer who received a welcome packet from care improvement plus a couple months back. I did some homework and found the person who was responsible; and found that he had just had his licensed revoked for sending fake apps to the carrier with fraudulent signatures. So I called the DOI and told them of the situation; they told me that I should not be contacting them. I should have the client call them direct. Go figure!
When I googled Prestige Marketing, there are many with that name, but did not find one selling a list of annuity owners who have annuities that are about to expire.
Anyone have their website/phone number or any other list company that sells a list of owners with annuities that are about to expire?
