I talked with an GA today that suggested I get appointed with Equitable Life & Casualty for cases that got declined or rated up with the big companies.

Any dealings with them or info/advice?

Thanks.

There's a better way to deal with your declines.

Go to:

www.DeclinesIntoCash.com

Just because some of the "big" long term care insurers declined your client does not mean that all of the "big" long term care insurers will decline your client.

Here's a link to some recent approvals by some of the bigger LTC insurers:

I have one question for you. I have copied and pasted this from your site.

"If you are not able to get appointed with the insurer, we can submit the application for you and compensate you directly."

How do you accomplish this?

How do we submit the application OR how do we compensate the agent?

How do you submit the application for an agent that can not get contracted with the company?

Who signs the application?

I do. In the rare instance that an agent cannot become appointed with an insurer that will approve his/her client, I will be the writing agent.

Are there no requirements to actually witness the signature of the applicant with LTC?

There are no such requirements for the fifteen or so LTC insurers with which I work. In fact, some of them even have "online applications" that are submitted to the insurer electronically.
Hence, my choice of avatar.

Well very good. I did not realize that you could do that with LTC.

How many agents are you working with?

Yes. Nearly every leading long term care insurer will allow for applications to be taken right over the phone.

A better question would be, "How many people have you helped get approved by an A-rated LTC insurer, after they'd been declined by an A-rated LTC insurer?"

I don't know the exact number but it's over 200.
