...using Website Tonight by Godaddy? I'd want a LOT more information on an outfit that can't afford a web designer. They also registered that domain Sept 29th 2008 so they're almost a month old.

I called them and they seem pretty legit, real nice upfront when I spoke to them. Apparently they have a good exclusive lead program. How can I guarantee that I get the commissions they promise? Is there a contract in writing when one goes independent?? Thanks for the response

Re: Anybody Work with This Company??             Go to Top

Easy:

1) Which carriers advance the 25% for health?
2) Are those commission paid direct by the carrier?
3) Will you sign an upfront release?
4) Do I own my business, in writing, from day 1?
5) Which health carriers do you represent and which offer 25% commissions

Their answers to those questions will tell you the story.

Hi healthagent

Just got off the phone with one of the owners Ed Rice. The company was started 2 years ago and changed websites. He told me he and his partner left a big national agency and started their own. Heres what he told me on the questions

1) Humana, United Health Care, Blue Cross, Imerica, American National & Assurant - Aetna pays only 18%, the rest pay 25%

2) Commissions are paid directly to the agent

3)Yes, can release at anytime

4) Ed told me I do own my own business, no quotas, nothing, no weekly meetings and no pressure from them- basically he said I could come and go as I pleased, and that he and his staff would even close deals for me to get me started

Said his agents are making 2k a week - and most of thier training is geared towards e-apps - where I can write from the comfort of my owm home which is what I'm looking to do. Right Now I get 80% on life and have to work nights and drive miles to show up and the clients are not at home. He told me they would give me the first 50 leads free to get me started and if I produced $600 a week in health premiums I would get 10 exclusive leads that their marketing dept calls the week prior. This sounds great to me, I really dont need the pressure of someone breathing down my neck - I want to work when "I" want to work. Even if I dont make the $600 a week to get my 10 exclusive leads- making 120% on life policies and 25% on health paying 12 months in advance is pretty tempting to me. Ed was real cool to me.

Can you help me out and suggest anything else I might need to ask? Thank you so much for all your help!!!

Okay- got the contracts for all the health companies and Life companies and a commision statement thats states what I make--- Anyone work for them? They are very helpful and will train etc-- I'm really thinking of signing the contracts -

They are overloaded with agents and are getting full, TN, GA, MO and Fla are getting closed soon - Is this a good deal guys?

Not possible. For one, Golden Rule (United Health) doesn't advance direct. In order to get a direct advance at 25% you'd have to be direct as a key broker. For Assurant, in order to get 25% direct you'd have to be a GA which means he's an Assurant MGA (doubtful) or a RSD which is impossible. Also, which Blue Cross does he claim offers 25% comp?

You have more digging to do.

And they are "overloaded" with agents and about to close off three states? Laughable.

I'm working now at 80% and I get 12 month advance from UHC- not sure who you contract under -

In order to get a direct advance at 25% you'd have to be direct as a key broker
Not with these guys - They gotta be making more than 125% - maybe they make their money on bonuses from the insurance companies- who knows- I really dont care if they make 150% - I can double my income with this company

. For Assurant, in order to get 25% direct you'd have to be a GA which means he's an Assurant MGA (doubtful) or a RSD which is impossible. Also, which Blue Cross does he claim offers 25% comp?
I have the contracts right here, all are 25% except for Aetna which is 18%

You have more digging to do.

I'm looking at the commission contracts now - Can you look at them for me???

They give you 50 leads upfront and after that they are $15 per lead- these are leads directly from their office- 100% exclusive- alot better than spending $10 on a internet leads and having them sell it to 10 different agents

I'm signing up today and will get my leads friday - will report next week

Am I the only one that see this as OBVIOUS SPAM? Otherwise, why would this guy care if "states are filling up" and why would he be defensive of a company he hasn't signed with?

LMAO, hey don't knock new domain names. We just launched a new domain name and we've been in the business for years (we wanted a name that actually reflected what we do and not just the LLC's name)...

As for being maxed out in other states that sounds pretty hard to do...

Something doesnt add up. Free leads AND 25% contracts? They will go broke in 6 months doing this as they don't have enough override with Humana, Blue Cross, Golden Rule, etc... to make this work. Be careful.
