Of course, I found it more humorous that the title line said $100 and the body said $150. I find it even more humorous that I'm in California AND I have several small risks that aren't worth me finding a market for and instead of sending them away, I can make $150 on what should be an under $500 a year premium.
I bet there is some caveat to the referral fee....

The body of what the poster wrote doesn't say $150, someone else added that as a additional post.
And if you're not interested, do you really think there's a need to post it?

$100 is not a good deal, as most here have surmised. But, the reason why it is not a good deal is because the OP offers "insurance agents" a "referral fee," when he knows very well that he could offer "street commission."
Big difference (no lol)
Now, if he made that same offer to a non-licensed person, then it might be an ok offer - albeit low offer.
** No offense Mike. Just making an observation. You are welcome to prove me wrong.

Actually, for commercial, this isn't necessarily true. I write commercial insurance, and there are many things that I don't want. It takes to long, not my area of expertise, I don't have a carrier in that market, etc. Earning a $100 to throw it over the fence and not have to deal with it isn't all bad. Not all good, but not all bad.
For instance, if someone comes in and wants a policy for a large event, I don't do these. Don't want to do them, I'd gladly take a $100 referral fee to say.... 'Oh, you are holding a concert in the park and need insurance coverage for Saturday? Great, let me have you talk with my specialist in that area'.
Now, if they need workers comp and have a payroll of $400,000, I'm not referring that out, I'll get it placed, along with the group health, the retirement accounts, group life, liability coverage, etc, etc, etc.
