NAA rips off its agents. Unscrupulous up-line managers resell and cherry pick the leads! They also try to charge your bank account with a little extra that you did not order. Then if you complain, the leads get worse! It is a MLM ripoff. Anyone can get better leads and commissions as an independent agent! Go to Ripoffreport.com and type in NAA, every agent who complains on this site is telling the God's Truth! Also why would you pay hundreds of dollars for leads that are NOT sent directly to YOU, but rather sent to your Manager to distribute?
I made the mistake of joining this cult because I was new and did not know any different. But I am not too dumb, as it did not take me long to find out I was being taken to the bank, so I QUIT. I am very glad I did. I am now an independent agent and I get 100% commissions and I order my own leads that are fresh off the tree! I also don't need to go to RAH RAH conventions to inspire me either, if I did, I would sell AMWAY, not insurance.

Hi all,
Well. I just shot the guy recruiting me an email and advised him i've decided against moving forward with NAA. I had filled out their contract and hiring paperwork, but had not started offically. Hopefully, they don't try to charge me anything.
So you all have been helpful with that decision and I thank you. I think i'm smart enough to know, if several seasoned agents are telling me not to touch the fire, maybe i shouldn't touch it.
Let me ask you guys this: I just passed my state exam for life/health and i live in suburban Philadelphia. I'm looking for a good company that supplys leads and won't have an issue with me working 20-25 hours a week.

Don't go with NAA! They are the AMWAY of the insurance industry! They are in business to sell over priced OLD cherry picked leads. If I ran a major insurance company, I would NOT have anything to do with them! If you are new to this biz, get with an independent agency! They pay hirer commissions and much better leads! I can recommend many! I know what I am talking about.
Thanks NAAripoff, but I think I just found a great deal. A buddy of mine referred me to a local independant Broker who has been in the business for 40 years. I just got back from his office and spent the day going over everything with him.
He is going to give me all the free leads i can handle and mentor me until I get up and going. I feel real good about this opportunity, so i'm running with it.
Guys, hi there, I am sure everyone has heard of NAA (National Agents Aliance).
I am thinking about joining, however, I was wondering what the word was out on them.
When you sign up with there insurance carriers, are you captive?
Why are there no residuals on there term products, or, is it in general that there is no residual income on term.
What do you guys think, I am somewhat new to the field, and would very much appreciate wisdom of senior agents.
Its a great place to start your career. Most stay there for thier whole career. You can make millions there! Search the forum for more happy NAA agents.

BE VERY CAREFUL with NAA. 12-21-07
Take a very close look at their health insurance products.
Are there gaps in coverage verses a traditional Keystone or Aetna Policy.
There used to be alot !
I had bad experiences with them, 2 years ago, and had to switch clients
Over to Aetna through another broker.
I do not consider Mega to be a good overall carrier, at all !

Then again, some shouldn't go the self taught way.
Dude, NAA is a non-med focused morgage protection term life agency, that uses the wam bam thank you mam approach to life insurance. You get paid quick, but you don't have the customer's best interest in mind and will need to recruit to get to a decent commission level. Start with AIG or Genworth through a wholesale agency that will get you a 100% 1st year commish and do other stuff like Health to start. At NAA you get 55% commish and alot of double talk from managers. The leads are expensive and they raise the price if you do well. Does that sound like a good deal? You can save people up to literally hundreds to thousands per year on term by getting healthy people preferred rates. Somebody with HBP or high cholesterol only and would be rated-up, might be a good fit for a non-med, but that is not how NAA operates.
