And Kaplan has the contract with World Financial Group.. Same deal They think they've found paradise and ask the teacher "do you think WFG is a good company to work for?"

Aww crap. I just couldn't keep going with that last line and make things rhyme like a limerick should. My apologies.
So...give me one more chance here...
I used to sell only Home Certain

I'll tell you exactly what happened. They found the site owner, threatened to sue him, and the poor sap fell for it. Modern day mortgage-protection mafia.
They have to recruit that many. If they recruit 1000, then around 10 will stick. Its like a revolving door. We are getting former NAA agents into our organization like crazy over the last year. Its absolutely nuts.

That is not their angle. They are betting on those folks having had several jobs in the past and having some 401k money laying around that can be rolled over. And, as often as people change jobs today, the odds are pretty good in their favor to stumble across a good bit of that money. That doesn't necessarily mean that the client is being best-served. It simply means that its happening.

Foresters had double billed a lot of clients, screwed up the agents (NAA's) commission's and delayed the approval process of up to 3 months on some apps. NAA wants their money quicker so they are simply asking agents to write OM vs Foresters. Their emails still clutter my inbox every day

Hummm, I was stupid enough to join them and no they were not. They had an ad in the local paper and on Monster to hire a few people for a base of $40k per year to start the annuity biz rolling.
The person that 'trained' me has not a clue about annuties as she thinks they are inherited TAX FREE. I learned on my own, reading, she was wrong and I got out. She has her own office is a manager and all she talks about is the opportunity meeting and recruting people. I never spent a dime on leads with them as I was not satisfied with the 'training' they gave. Not that others have done a better job but that SUCKED and I always thought, IF you can't train me, then I can't spend the $$ to buy leads as I would be wasting time and energy.

I never said that their "hard training" was good, accurate, or worth the time. Anyone who has been a part of NAA in addition to being a part of what I would call a legitimate insurance business knows otherwise.
But, you brought out what its all about with NAA. Its all about the Opp Meeting and Recruiting. And you know what, those are wonderful things IF (notice the big IF) they are kept in proper perspective. But, in my opinion, the problem with NAA is that those things (recruiting and opp meetings) are much more important than engaging in the proper practice of the insurance business. Also, in my opinion, the real sad thing about it is that there are good folks who are involved in the business who know so little that they really believe that they are doing right by the client and their subordinate agents.

I would love a copy of what you say in the appointments also. I am in the process now of becoming a new agent and am very interested in NLP which is what this sounds like to me. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
