Re: Is anyone going to the dahammm Convention (National Agents Alliance) (NAA)Go to Top
Yes. IT helps you get in tune with your customers actions and style to help generate a connection and befriend them thus you seems to be "their type" and are more likey to do business with you making the a client. Suspect, Prospect, Client.
You imitate their style of talking, gestures, posture, etc, in non obvious ways they thing is you like your reflection, you trust and have rapport with your reflection thus you feel safe buying from someone like you.
There is more too it than that, but that's the outline as it relates to sales. Rapport building.
I have a guy that has been telling me about joining this insurance brokerage... Can anybody give me some insight? Pros and Cons? I am not licensed yet. Where is a good place to get licensed or take classes in southern california?

I called on an ad from Craigslist today as I'm looking for something to replace my MA business (after the market thins on March 31st and my total disdain in general with the FMO's and MA companies I've dealt with) I get a call back.
Afte a bit of general conversation I start to feel like something is being hidden. When I here mortgage protection I ask if it's NAA.
The answer was yup and I said nope. Feel bad for people who don't know.

Easy. The high roller gets whatever he wants. It was really stupid. I was already starting to travel and recruit. They're really in the lead business as much as anything. I see it as more as a religion.

Listened in a conversation with woman agent and her "upline" today at Starbucks before going to the Benefits Selling Expo and wanted to kidnap her and do an intervention..... but....... my latte' had just been prepared and I opted for the path of least resistance.

Hi, i'm in the process of getting my life insurance license and I wanted to get some feedback from you guys as to which route would be best to do... A friend of mine in the business liability insurance business referred me to a friend of his that has been in the life and health side of the business for over 30 years. He has been in the 1 million dollar producer club for over 15 years and is approved to do business with over 20 companies but they regularily use about 10. I would be an independant guy and getting customers on my own with either route. I guess it depends on the comission split right? But what other factors are important to consider and i should not overlook.
Can you give me some guidance as to which would be best?
Backround on myself, I also want to add that I currently sell mortgages door to door and have had success in doing so over the past 12-14 months. I get face to face with all clients/customers and I will continue to sell mortgages but also offer mortgage protection plans to my clients to increase maximize revenuve and build a residual stream. I am 22 years old with alot of energy.
Thanks,
Andre.

Reason: add more info
Since you develop your own leads, going independant with the highest payout would probably make more sense. NAA will start you out on a minisule 55% contract. It looks like building a relationship with the guy who has been in business for 30 years could be the way to go.
Some things you may want to ask him;
Of course Commision payouts and advance percentages
Underwriting support (Will his office help order & follow up APS's, Paramed exams, and status of the case).
Would he be willing to assist you in case design, if needed, and be available for questions and training (What are you getting for his override) Being mentored by a million dollar producer would beneficial.
