I've read all 41 pages and still cannot figure out if the "All-you-can-eat" seafood buffet is back or not???
Otherwise, what's the point?
Wrong font ...

Thanks NAAripoff, but I think I just found a great deal. A buddy of mine referred me to a local independant Broker who has been in the business for 40 years. I just got back from his office and spent the day going over everything with him.
He is going to give me all the free leads i can handle and mentor me until I get up and going. I feel real good about this opportunity, so i'm running with it.
Thanks,
whats your commission structure with that local independant agent that has been in the biz for 40 yrs? I am in the same boat and was wondering what other get.

I'd like t know too. Anyone care to share their commission percentages? What are some of the highest contracts with the minimum requirements out there?

And so the games begin! Just gave NAA my resignation and of course they are dragging their feet on releasing me from OMFN. Has anyone else been able to get a release?

Life and Annuities make up 95% of my practice. To be even more specific Mortgage Protection Terms and Guaranteed Fixed annuities are the bulk of my business. What I'm thinking of doing as soon as my license is accepted in California is flying out to Cali to do business on the weekends. I figure I will spend about $500 on a round-trip flight plus a rented car. My buddy says I can stay w/ him. Set up about 12-15 appt on a weekend and fly out there to capitalize on their costs of living. Where I'm at asking for a $100 check is like asking for a million. I figure out there a $100 check is like a $50 check here and not that big a deal. Anyone tried doing what I am planning to do? ANY THOUGHTS?

I have done this before, and actually your numbers will be better, I used to drive down to West Virginia and sell life insurance, its about a 4 hour drive, and my numbers were always better, not because of the people, but because I had some money invested in these appointments... gas, hotel, food.... with an airplane ticket and rental you'll be scratching on the walls for sales...

What do you need OMFN for anyway? Just dump them and go with other carriers.

Great Idea!
When you went down to West Virginia, how did you prospect before you went down so that you would have appointments. Did you cold call or you bought leads or ?
Re: Is anyone going to the dahammm Convention (National Agents Alliance) (NAA)Go to Top
Now i've got world financial group trying to recruit me. They start at a 25% comission scale. Pay a 100 dollar application fee to join. (backround check fee) But the deparment of insurnance won't give me a license if i'm a felon which dosn't make any sense why world financial group does that also! :P Also you have to have 6 recruits in a short period of time and make 20 sales before you get bumped up to the 55% ratio. What a joke!
I've decided to go with the local brokerage. I think i'll get a 90% to 100% split because i'll be generating my own leads. They'll also give me underwriting support with a staff of nice old ladies that just sit at their desk and pick up calls and do stuff on the computers.
