Dont mind the sarcasm, its all in fun, but the truth is that NAA is set up as a MLM and the leads will have you going all over the place (from what I hear) if you are looking to make the big bucks you need to go independent... if you want great training and lead support hit up a local agency in your hometown... My opinion about NAA, stay away, stay very far away...

Take it from someone who was there for 18 months, you need to heed this advice. In my opinioin, NAA is the Amway/Herbalife/Excel-Long-Distance of the Insurance Industry.

National Agents Alliance as a starting pointGo to Top
Hey you guys -- I know I haven't posted for a long while -- and I know alot of people don't agree with me and my prior postings... but....
Heres the scoop.....
My husband is a prior military recruiter... as you guys know from my previous postings... he has had alot of problems medically with his back and now we are dealing with a host of other problems afterwards.. but -- now that he is retired and needs something to do -- we are talking about starting our own agency in Ohio. I know that I was prior Naa and did not have the proper guidance as a newby.
What I was planning to do is combine the Naa experience as a starter for agents and then add medicare supplements and final expense.
What my husband is saying --- As long as you have the right guidance for new agents -- which I did not get... We will be able to get everyone off on the right foot...
I know that alot of you may not agree and say for newbies to start with other companies at a bigger commission level -- but I feel that if you have the right training -- you won't have any problems with Naa -- I think it all depends on your manager..
The leads that I recieved in the past month have been great -
I know that with Naa the problems that we had were the price of the leads and because they were (used) --
- What we planned to do as an agency is pay for the leads for our agents -- as long as they were doing minimum 5000 a month in production -- running 25 appointments a week. We are looking at having 10 agents here in Ohio to work with to start. Is there anyone here on the forum that is in Ohio that might want to meet and talk and share their experiences?

Mary, if you are using NAA as a foundational tool for agents, I would point you to the Biblical story of two men. One man built his house on the sand and the other built it on a solid foundation. You can have the best craftsmen and other workers, but a house built on a faulty foundation will surely fall. But, let's say that you are just going to use NAA as an accompanying component, like an item in a cake recipe. If you were making a cake, you would not add motor oil in with eggs, sugar, flavoring, and other legitimate recipe items. Either bite the bullet and go whole-hog with NAA...determine that you are going to live or die by it...or get as far away from it as possible and never look back. In my opinion, you can do much better without that element in your kitchen. I know I sure have.
Re: Is anyone going to the dahammm Convention (National Agents Alliance) (NAA)Go to Top
We just moved to Ohio from Wyoming. We are in Canton now.
And the only reason I was thinking of the Naa structure -- was because of the lead source -- Our company would also sell medicare supplements and final expense -- so it would not be totally with Naa --
And yes Senior I did need alot of help -- and still do
Info on Philip Hudgins company? Any one tried them?Go to Top
I was wondering if any one had some information on the Philip Hudgins company. I was on the web site reading about it and I was wanting to know if any body has tried using them to generate business on mortgage protection life insurance?

IS that where the Dayton Family is from?
Mary, you do not need to be with NAA to get $20 leads. Get a group of agents together, I will get you top contracts and come train all of you. Of course for a small fee or override.

Never tried to recruit. If I had tried to recruit in the past I would have the biggest agency in IN. I believe MAry is in need of my expertise dough...I mean though.
Re: Information on Philip Hudgins companyGo to Top
What really needs to be asked of NAA is this: "What percentage of your sales force is actually making a six-figure net income from their NAA activity?"
I have a strong feeling that if we knew the answer to that question, all of the naa-kool-aid-drinkers would shut the crap up!
