Has anyone on here had experience with Crump's(Bisys) Life Solutions program for submitting Life apps? It seems like a very good system but want to see if anyone on here has first had experience.

I've used the program a few times without a hitch. I had a prospect in another state ask me for coverage. Found it VERY easy to simply enter the information on-line and Crump took are of the rest.

While others complain that the commission is a little lower there, for the few apps I do a year, it is worth the convenience.

I tried it with a case a few months ago and I had to babysit it all the way through. They dropped the ball from start to finish and took much longer than if I just did it myself. They screwed up the ownership of the policy...put the beneficiaries as the owners (they were off by a line). It took over 2 months to get it done. On another case (well, 2, husband and wife policies) they never got ahold of the clients and only tried 3 times and didn't follow the time guidelines I'd given them. My advice: Use with people who aren't "BUSY"--the ones that are easy to get ahold of or at least will follow your directions on calling the company themselves if they miss the phone call. I'd rather take the app over the phone myself and send it to the client for signature than risk losing a case. It's hard enough getting them to schedule the paramed anyway...why risk having them miss 2 separate phone calls?

It seems that the health questions are pretty limited anyway...the biggies are covered in the paramed.

I don't have any specific experience about this particular program of Bisys', but I do know that when I was with them, I felt like that they weren't very concerned about the individual agent, or whether or not his cases were issued or not. They seem to (IMO) cater to large agencies which consistently submit high volumes of cases to them, not the average agent.

Also, they seemed to offer lower commissions than most GA's. However, I do know that a lot of agents who specialize in health use Bisys for their life GA, just because they aren't really demanding on production.

I've had good experience with it. The only downside vs. paper, is that they do not have any coverage until the policy is actually delivered. With paper apps, you leave a conditional receipt & they have coverage while the app is processing unless they've submitted fraudulent information.
