Article in AZ Republic today said UHC won't participate in AZ's exchange. From their list of participants, it doesn't appear that UHC will participate under the name of Golden Rule or AZ Physician's IPA either.

The article says who filed to participate:

"Filings with the state Department of Insurance suggest the robust competition that now exists in Arizona will continue under the Affordable Care Act. Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Cigna, Health Net, Humana, University of Arizona Health Plans and Compass Health Cooperative are seeking approval to sell plans."

Only 5 health insurers now?

"Major health insurers that have filed rate plans with the Arizona Department of Insurance signal that average monthly rates under the Affordable Care Act will range from $225 to $334 when the federal health-insurance marketplaces launch Oct. 1. Companies filing rate plans were Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Cigna, Health Net and Meritus, formerly called Compass Health Cooperative."

Reading the last paragraph further, we know Humana is playing in the AZ market, and we know they are rolling out lots of HMO's in other states, I'll bank on them being #6. But, who are the other two? Probably on group side.
-------------------------
Eight health-insurance companies have filed paperwork with the state’s Department of Insurance, but just the five contained detailed rate information that includes average monthly rates, the most and least expensive plans and the total in premiums that insurers expect to collect from health-insurance plans sold over the government’s website, www.healthcare.gov. Health insurers that plan to sell HMO-style plans over the marketplaces are not required to disclose rates to Arizona regulators, according to Erin Klug, ADOI spokeswoman.
