Yeh. Things are getting goofy out there. Next week you start issuing monopoly money to your creditors. As discussed, it is good, in a unfortunate kind of way, to have this blow up right in the middle of the health care debate. It is a classic case of trying to fund everything and ending out with less than those who followed a more moderate course. Even Golden Gate Al is hiding out now and does not dare to rub California as the Shining City on the Hill in our faces. Al will be back living in New York within two years. Will bet anyone here on that.
The lessons and parallels for the country are enormous and apparent. That is to say, not many people are concerned because they are watching Michael Jackson tributes right now. Sigh.
