Should my LLC Be an Additional Insured to my Existing Policy?

I'm transferring my rental property to an LLC and my insurance agent recommends adding my LLC as an additional insured to my existing policy. Since the deed in now under the LLC name, does this make sense? Shouldn't the LLC have its own General Liability Policy and a Property Policy? Is there any problem with his recommendation?

I'm concerned about the meaning of the additional insured (AI) provision.
