Assurant underwriting help             Go to Top

I'm writing a family of three and would like to apply an accurate quote. Wife and child are great and well within preferred. Husband is 43yr, 5'5" 150lbs taking Atenolol 25mg one a day for HBP. Been on the meds for 2 years and blood pressure is stable at 112 over 68. Assurants guidelines suggest a rate up between 20-70%. That's a big gap. What would you guys suggest I load on while filling out the application?

Thanks,
Lou

Why are you using Assurant? Have you talked with other carriers? Atenolol is a generic drug so costs are not much of a factor.

Assurant was my last choice but they were the only carrier who had their doctors in the network. UHC was my first choice.
