I'm a Life/health agent curiuos about auto.

My question: Could someone provide a basic outline of agent commission (include residuals) for auto insurance? thanks

It depends on the company. most companies pay 12% first yeard and 10% residual

Mine is a slightly higher but it is broken down by product, Property is 16% and auto 14% with 10 renewals

15% new and renewal.

Obama has indicated he is coming after insurance agents when he is sworn in. We'll be able to earn commissions on homeonwers insurance but we'll have to throw in auto insurance for free.
