Im not familiar with bristol West and their rules regarding permissive use. None the less, avoid the headache... file claim with your company, pay your deductible and let the insurance get your deductible and the claim money back from the responsible policy. If the cars policy (acts 1st) does not cover then the drivers policy will act second. If he does not have enough physical damage coverage then that will be cover with your Underinsured coverage.

You don't have to worry about your policy, it won't go up.

You might want to clarify that with a state or states you know it to be true. In at least one state it definitely could raise your rates.
