(CA) Insurance Claim Check Question

A month ago, I was involved in this accident in which the first who hit me was at fault. I went with his insurance and was able to get my car fixed some weeks after. Check was sent to me but the thing is that the body repair shop gave me the vehicle without asking me about the payment or nothing. Check still has not been deposited into my account. Should I call the insurance who sent me the check?

it's between you and body shop you choose to go to-probably an accounting oversight on their part.... They'll be in touch with you about getting paid once they figure it out. Cash the check.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't choose the body shop. The insurance chose it for me. So best solution is cash the check and send it to them?
