CT Speeding Ticket Under Statute 14-298?

Hello,

I had received a ticket for speeding in CT under statute 14-298. He put a line through the speeding box and the statute gives the State Traffic Commission the power to enforce the laws, but it is not a charge in itself. I checked with the DMV and they confirmed that the officer gave me a ticket equivalent to a non-moving violation.

I am shopping online for new auto insurance and am wondering,

How should I mention this ticket to the insurance company?
Will it have a drastic affect on my premiums?

I am currently on my parents policy.

Thank you so much for your help!!!

how many times are you gonna post this?

So you got a ticket but think its wrong you be surcharged for it.

makes perfect sense....:swoon:

Hi F150,

Thank you for catching that! I edited my title and questions and somehow added a post.

There are so many auto-insurance companies out there and I am just trying to gain an idea from those who might be familiar on the topic.

Any additional help would be much appreciated!!!
