So I've been in insurance for about 2 years. Most selling the the rest processing claims. I've been trying to become an adjuster and have applied to every entry level position around me and have only gotten 2 interviews. I have no problem getting interviews for producer roles but I can't for the life of me get a job which the experience required is 2 years of working anywhere. I have a BS in psych and graduated 9 year ago... Do companies like to hire direct from colleges or what? I just find it a bit odd that I cant even get a call back...

I didnt know where to post this so I just posted it here.

Any thoughts or helped would be much appriciated.

If you're lacking in experience, demonstrate your seriousness about being an adjuster and broaden your knowledge by working on the Associate in Claims designation:

I was planning on doing that but if I got my AIC and couldnt get a job I would lose my mind. Perhaps maybe having my adjuster license would help my resume stand out? I guess my plan is to get my license, if I can, and then start working on my AIC and put that on my resume.
