Appreciate all the information you guys have provided. I know this can be covered over and over again but most of the information seems to be from years ago and out of date. I'm looking for information you wish you knew when you were in my position.
I am a start up with no experience. But have free office space in a real estate office and a solid network. I know this limits my options. But so far my options seem to be Smart Choice, Deforest Group, and potentially SIAA if they get back to me. I will be doing mostly personal lines and life.
Smart Choice: Biggest concern is the 2 year non compete, everything else seems fair?
Deforest: Turn around time of 3 days, much slower than Smart Choice tells me is only 24 hours. Rest of contract seems great.
SIAA: Apparently is the best option, I have seen no complaints on this forum but question if its a true person and not just a marketing tool.
Also, clarity on binding authority with smart choice?
Does anyone have personal experience with these companies, with specifics?
