Statute 14-298. Insurance Increase?

Hi there,

So I received a speeding ticket in CT written under statute 14-298. The statute outlines the State Traffic Commissions power to enforce our laws, but is not a violation in itself. Essentially, it is luckily a no points ticket now that I paid it.

My questions are:
-Does the DMV adjust your record based on the ticket details or the officers notes? (No speed on ticket)
-Do you know how will it appear on my MVR?

Thank you!

since when does a speeding tic not have points.

this is the second time you posted this, i check your posts.

What your issue?

Hi F150,

The description is the same but my questions are different from my prior post. I contacted the PD and also asked the DA, they confirmed there are no points.

Number 13: jud.ct.gov/faq/traffic.html

That's all, just some quick questions.

Thanks!

DMV just reports what happens, after the fact.
If its a no points ticket, it will show up that way. Many states have similar things, where you can take classes and the ticket not even appear for most purposes.

Best thing to do though is about a month after the dust has settled is pull a copy of your MVR. I'm not sure what it cost in your state, but its an easy way to put your mind at rest on how this is reported.
