Does anyone know if there is any automation quoting software on the market available for purchase? Specifically to process homeowner quotes. As well as the ability to do it on your own time and not at the expense of a lead company. I believe there is im just not sure where to look.

I'm curious....

Are you talking about taking a prospect and running a quote from 5 carriers?

Or are you talking about taking 500 prospects and run quote and mail it to them for marketing?

I do the latter. I ended up writing my own software to do it though, but it was based on using some windows macro software.

What state are you looking for a solution in? There's a number of options - EZLynx as mentioned has homeowners support in most states. SEMCAT supports homeowners in 31+ states, including Florida (only player there with homeowners currently). Depending on the state there will be some other players too.

What companies does your software work for in Florida? How much does it cost?

SEMCAT works with over 160 carriers across 31 states. I'm sure there are a number of carriers we have yet to add, especially in Florida where agents have to be appointed with a large number of homeowners companies. That said, in our Florida accounts we are able to cover 95% of the carriers (examples: 39 of 41, 50 of 54, etc). We are continuing to add carriers - so its quite likely we have the majority of yours available.

Cost is going to be reasonable and in the ballpark of the other players. Its a monthly service fee, with the option to pay annually. No contract or cancellation fee or extra charges. We offer a two-week free trial, so if you want to give it a try, just visit semcat dot net and "Sign Up" for the trial. Note insurance-forums there and I'll touch base with the acct exec to follow up.

Feel free to ask further questions or PM.

Having tried both EZLynx and SEMCAT, I can tell you it's a no-brainer. EZlynx hands down is better in all aspects. I've been using them for around 1.5 years but recently tried SEMCAT just to see if they had made any headway (not really). EZLynx is so dang accurate. I write with 12 companies in two states and they support all of them. I can get a customer 10+ rates in less than 5 minutes. I would bet money on all those rates too. EZLynx pretty much invented real-time rating. So many vendors had promised it for years and years and nobody delivered until EZLynx came out. Now you have all these smaller knock-off raters coming in but there are so many issues and limitations that I just stick with what works. EZLynx integrated directly into my agency website so consumers can come and put in their information requesting a quote. I get an email and their info goes directly into EZLynx. One of my gals can have the rates in the customers hand in a few minutes and 9/10 we close the deal. I love it!

We have actually worked with a number of car dealerships and installed a kiosk to allow people to shop for insurance while they are in the process of purchasing vehicles. For some reason the forum is not letting me post my website address. I guess it is due to not having made enough posts to the forum at this time. That is a bummer. You can go to the EZLynx website and I believe they have a section dedicated to what they call CPLive (consumer portal live). This is what we have integrated into our website. It's pretty slick. Best of luck...
