I was just curious about what you all pay on average for health insurance. Is 149 a month too much for a 40 year old healthy male?

It's way too much for crappy coverage and a great deal for good coverage.

Is $10 too much for dinner? Depends on what you have.

I have an HSA and pay about $400 per month, plus another $100 that goes into the side fund.

Of course, it depends which state you live in. In Ohio, rates are much cheaper than in most states.

California, age 59, Blue Shield 4000 HSA ($4K deduct, no co-pay, full Rx after deduct), $273/mo, but will go up $352 on next b-day.... but I'll make a change to a different carrier.

I'm 37 years old and have a $2700 deductible then 100% to 3 million HSA compatible plan with Assurant in CT.

Cost with accident plan built-in - $132 per month. This is a second year rate. $119 was the first year rate.

Greensky and Chumps are correct, state located and plan bought obviously matter greatly.
