Got your attention huh? Haha. I am working on a nice little term policy for a friend of the family and he just got denied with Trans due to this "showing an elevated glucose of 134 and an elevated glycohemoglobin A1c result of 7.2" he is a 52 year old healthy male other than the diabetes. Do you guys have any suggestions as to where he might find a good home based on those numbers? As always any help is really appreciated.

Yeah Lincoln Financial for sure, I've written a similar case with them here in Florida.

You can also try Aviva and North American with their table shave programs.

The problem here is his A1C @ 7.2; but it should not be a deal breaker. I hope this helps.......

The 7.2 A1C means his average blood sugars are in the 150-160's range. I use CPS to run options for my impaired risk people and usually they'll offer 2 or 3 choices.

How are his other specs?

I'm a type II diabetic (since age 40) and depending on his other issues, if clean he could possibly get a standard rating from some to lower table rating. It kind of will depend on the other factors.

Lincoln gave a prelim of Table D to F. I sent it to them and Pru as trials. Will let you guys know what happens. Thanks for the input. As a side note, I ran 6 companies today for cash building policies on a couple and Lincoln blew the other 5 carriers out of the water. Thought i would throw that in there. Go Lincoln
