Yep Rabbi is right and the MAA contract is very restricting. You cannot write another company unless your client gets declined or your uw guidelines specifically states they're uninsurable for BC. You also cannot write another company if your client receives an exclusion with BC. I would venture to guess only about 30% get approved without some kind of rider, rating or flat out rejected and my figures may be too high. If one is ridered most of your clients aren't going to accept it and I can't blame them because other companies won't exclude most of the conditions BCBSFL do.
Also think about this: At the current time BC of Fl will appoint any Tom, Dick or Harry out there any place in the state. That's ok for National Companies but not a company that does business only in Florida.
