Becoming a New Broker. Please Help

Hello,

I am attempting to become an individual broker writing for insurance carriers. For auto carriers I know you need E&O insurance and a 10,000 dollar bond. Does anyone know the costs and the breakdown of the way to do this? Do you have to pay yearly or can you pay monthly? Also, does anyone have any recommendations on where to attain these items? If I want to expand into other lines can I use the same E&O and 10,000 bond from California to expand the business?

Please advise - any thoughts are welcome.
