I just got off the phone with CareFirst Blue Cross/Blue Shield regarding maternity benefits on their plans, and the woman I spoke with said that it is possible depending on medical history for pregnant women/expectant fathers to get insured under their
HMO HSA-compatible plan (which has no waiting period for maternity benefits). Has anyone ever had a case issued on someone who is currently pregnant? That just seems like stupid business from an insurance company's point of view....
