Funny you should post that. I have 3 trees in my yard. My dog saw a squirrel run up a tree and now he literally is barking up the wrong tree.

Hey Louis, out of curiosity, just where is it that you actually sell insurance? Your site says:

"You'll learn how I went from a struggling new insurance agent trying to find enough prospects to make appointments with, to earning six figures working from my home office, selling health and life insurance online to clients all over the country."

Someone has already established that you don't have an active license in California. I just checked Georgia and it's not active there either. It expired December of 2007 and doesn't appear that you ever had ANY appointments in Georgia. It was effective in January of 2007. You were licensed for a year in Georgia and never got appointed. As best I can tell, you only have a few years experience in the business. You weren't licensed in Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Oregon, Washington....you get the point.

If you went from struggling to six figures, why are you no longer licensed? What about all those renewals?

You see, the issue of credibility comes up. Your book may be great for what you claim, but I see no proof of you actually making it in the insurance business. There's an old saying that comes to mind:

Those who can't do, TEACH.

Problem is, I have a tough time learning from someone who can't do. Show me some PROOF that YOU can make a living in the insurance business and that YOU did it using the methods outlined in your book and then you will have some credibility.

I think a lot of it is that since they don't get comp on it they don't really spend any time with it, relative to underwritten coverage (which they are compensated on).

The last Anthem RSM I had (before the latest debacle) was most knowledgeable because he had been in direct sales prior to becoming RSM. So, he had sold the plans direct for years and knew the ins and outs better than those coming from tech support or agent support positions.

Rick, I know I owe you a beer. Maybe I will have a relax weekend down in Solvang this year and we can meet up there.

1. Is there a satisfaction guarantee on this e-book? I don't see it on the site.

2. Would you consider a 4th of July forum special say 20% off or something for forum members promo code?

The reason I ask is that Frank Stastny has offered his CRM, YIO, to forum members in the past both at a discount price and with money-back guarantee.
Dave;
From everything I can gather from my friends and associates in this industry you have a reputation as a stand up guy. Thanks for the post and in fact the promo code I hastily posted initially provides the purchaser $20 off which is where the $70 figure that was mentioned came from. However, with your permission I would like to do what I probably should have done from the onset, and that is send you a copy gratis for your perusal and personal critique and comments whatever they may be. It would be very much appreciated and I would consider it a personal favor should you look it over. As for the guarantee, of course I would refund anyone their money back should they feel there was no value from the purchase. In fact Dave, after Ed Harris's comment that he had spoken to someone that had the book an commented "it was a piece of crap" I immediately contacted EVERYONE that had purchased the ebook to offer a refund. Interestingly enough NOBODY that had purchased the ebook had ever heard of Ed Harris from Ohio. So I could only surmise that his friends at Norvax (which he is a customer and gets remuneration from for referring business to) didn't like my comments in the ebook stating, "Quotit is better suited for the online presentations I do, for less cost". Mr. Harris's posted quote actually came from an interview I did for Norvax at their request in 2006 and NOT from the ebook itself which was written in 2009. BTW off the record I found it a bit disconcerting that you felt the need to remove your contact info from the forum profile. To me that's the ONLY thing that adds any validity to someone's posting is the ability to substantiate who they are. Anyone can post ANYTHING anonymously. In my opinion your reputation will remain intact based on what I've observed and you will elevate your credibility above your forum counterparts who continue to "hide" behind aliases.

I removed it temporarily to reduce the traffic to my site from this thread. I have put it back up.

Professionally I try to always do the right thing and work mainly with the uninsurable because no one else seems to want to help them. I wish HIPAA rates were lower and MRMIP was open and offered better coverage. But I can only work with what California offers me.

I am sure I am not a favorite of the carriers since I bring them high risk business, but I can live with that.

I am a mellow, decent person and not prone to call out people in private or in public. Just sometimes on this forum there are situations where very new agents can get taken for a ride. For every real offer of value there are probably 10 that are not, so one can become a bit jaded.

I would welcome the chance to review your e-book and post my thoughts on it. It may be a great resource for new agents and good refresher for veterans. I will review it objectively for sure.

"I immediately contacted EVERYONE that had purchased the ebook to offer a refund. Interestingly enough NOBODY that had purchased the ebook had ever heard of Ed Harris from Ohio"

Hey Bozo...Most people know me by "Chumps" on these types of Forums and not by my name.

Your posts clearly show a lack of credabilty. I also notice you have cleverly dodged the questions regarding your licenses.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

"Norvax which he is a customer and gets remuneration from for referring business"

You're insane. They have never paid me a dime. NEVER! Prove your point and I'll donate $10,000 to your favorite charity... Show me one time where they paid me to say something nice about them. Don't wait. Post it. Immediately.

Step up to the plate instead of lying to everyone on the Forum.

"BTW off the record I found it a bit disconcerting that you felt the need to remove your contact info from the forum profile"

Gee...what a tool. I think you mean "on the record." I rarely check the forum profile so it probably was never there. And I am contacted by Forum members all of the time. Funny, how they don't have a problem finding me.

In summury...Your harebrained comments just prove you have little to offer.

BUYER BEWARE!

You can get much better information on this Forum AT NO COST instead of sending your money to a spammer.

Rick,

Let me see if I can fire it up for you.

You're a scumbag, no-integrity moron. You come on this forum and post spam, not only in the wrong section, but in violation of the board's rules. I surmise that you don't have any respect for the rules, or the members.

In addition Rick, you're stupid.

You sold 10 quick books, huh? If you had half a brain, you'd realize that if you stayed within the boundries, and actually looked to be a valued contributor to the forum - you might sell 200 books!

Let me repeat for you: you have no integrity, which means that your book is a total waste of money.

Did that "fire it up" enough for you?

Finally, if you want my contact info, send me a PM. I'll be more than happy to provide it to you.

Well at least I got to read it before you deleted it. Let's see, $60 per submitted app, 150-200 apps per month. So $9k-$12k per month, plus the $7k you said you get in renewals and no doubt the tons you are making hawking this ebook and you can't pay your child support.

Nice!

Rick,

You are the one that came on this forum and didn't follow the rules. We are kind of protective over the rules. If you can't follow the rules and can't take being called out on it, maybe you shouldn't participate.

Regardless of the reason you currently don't hold a license, child support or other issues, I find it disingenuous to say the least to ask agents to purchase sales materials.

For the sake of credibility I'd pay your support that's in arrears, get your license back then start hawking the book. Why? Because this Ebook only smells of a man who can no longer sell, by law, and needs to put some cash together.

The gist of it was that he (Rick Liuag) lost his license(s) because he didn't pay his child support?

No, that California would not renew his license because he owes child support. In his defense, he did say he was in the middle of a court battle. Based on my calculations, he should be making somewhere between $16,000-$19,000 per month not to mention his income from book sales. This is based on the information he provided. That must be some steep child support payments to not be able to pay them with $200k+ income.

Oh hey guys, the good news is that (I think) someone mentioned he's from The OC (yes, that would be beautiful, sunny, southern Calfornia), the home of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

I think there are a number of them ladies who are available. Maybe we might want to have some sort of dating contest, if Rick would be willing, to set him up with one of those gals, we could collect the proceeds from the sale of the book, and then create our our reality show. You know, When Former Insurance Agent Dates a Real Looker with Fake Boobs!

Wait - is Vicki Gunvalson still married? Wow...now, that's an idea!

Bottom line is, Rick, you posted, didn't follow the rules, got called out on it, and it just went south from there. See it for what it was, and apologize, will ya?

Sorry!!!! I have NEVER been more regretful of anything I've done since I put my hand down that "girl's" dress during the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans in '88 after 6 hurricanes, only to find a special surprise (male genetalia)! I realized after M&M's first post I had committed the cardinal sin. However, I tried like hell to delete it the moment M&M's hit but the software kept telling me "that I didn't have enough letters" whatever the hell that meant. I did delete my post to SMAN by leaving the SMAN at the bottom. Would have been nice to have learned that early yesterday morning. But then I might never had made the acquaintance of all my new friends. Do you really think I want the entire world to know I have child support issues. SMAN is right it is a big monthly number, but they want the whole enchilada and that's TOO big a number. And the post I left this morning was supposed to be humerous but M&M exploded again, BTW M&M, not a single book sold from that posting. Bill, Had I to do it over again... I would have come on....listened then sent out the ebook PRIVATELY and for free to a few of you who might agree to review and critique. But Bill to say I was sorry would be a gigantic understatement at this point. But I do have one last question for the group but not the entire damn forum. Does my unrenewed CA license really negate the 5 yrs of successful online selling via the tools and techniques I used, and the things I do now to generate income via affiliate sites etc. that don't require a current resident license, to the point that it completely invalidates the information in an ebook?

Let's not judge this guy based on the child support issue. One of my best friends was in a nasty court battle over child support. She claimed and filed that he was in arrears and he was in fact paid up. He won but not after almost a year.
