Rick, this kind of post belongs in the "Insurance Offers" section of the Forum.
Did you read the rules?
My educated guess will be that you will get a much better response to your offer if you show some respect for the forum by posting spam in the appropriate place.

$180 bucks ??? How much does that code take off?
Thanks, but no thanks. I see ebooks like this all the time.
The only person making money is you.
Tell you what, get any successful guru on this forum to brag about your book and I will get a copy of it.
Re: Build and Automate Your Agency OnlineGo to Top
I got the book last week. I'm a brand new agent. I got it on the recommendation of the regional sales manager for Blue Shield of California. Although I already have a good grasp on the technology side, the roadmap the book shows will without a doubt save me many hours and headaches. Great start to finish resource. Just the chapter on online marketing was worth the $70. Thanks
Re: Build and Automate Your Agency OnlineGo to Top
Chuck...Someone last week was just telling me about the book. They said it was a piece of crap and a complete waste of their time.

I have no dog in this thread (fight) however I do note a couple of things:
1. Richard Liuag's CA insurance license is currently expired and he is NOT licensed to sell insurance in California. His license expired 3/31/09 and was only active for a 2-year period (2007-2009). Lic #0E72518.
2. There is no new agent in California named Chuck or Charles Morgan. The closest is one new agent only in the entire state, listed as Christopher Michael Morgan license # 0G08426 issued in 2008 for fire and casualty only. All other agents in CA (resident AND non resident) with the last name of "Morgan" have been licensed for at least 4 years.

Re: Build and Automate Your Agency OnlineGo to Top
I actually knew Rick a few years ago. He did sell enough policies for the Ca. Farm Bureau when it was with Nationwide to qualify for their Hawaii trip. You needed around 50-60 policies in a 12 month period. He would (correctly) write the parents and children separately.
He told me the key to success on the internet would be to get a flash site from Norvax ($2,000 start up) and about $200 a month if my memory is correct. Obviously, their sites are worthless as far as marketing is concerned. His advice cost me about $4,500.
Rick was able to convince Blue Shield that he could write a ton of business so they cut him a deal on their internally generated leads. As I recall, it was basically free leads. I accidently ended that for him by asking my RSM for the same deal. Rick has never forgiven me.
However, he's a very personable guy and from what I'm told, a great golfer. We haven't spoken since 2006.
Would I buy a book from him? Not even with all the money M&M has.
Rick

I just took my test last Thurs in SD.
This forum was recommended to me as a good source of information for people new to the insurance business. I've been in other businesses before but find every comment rather hostile. Not sure if there is anything worthwhile here. I got the book and think it will be helpful. That's about it.

Re: Build and Automate Your Agency OnlineGo to Top
Well, not sure about any car chase and someone had asked how I found this. When i registered i went to General Insurance Agent Discussions and it was the first one. I was hoping to get a little information and help to shorten the learning curve as I'm just starting out and saw the post about doing business online which I want to learn. I just see a guy offering a book to help people start out and I had already bought it. I'm only on chapter 8 but I learned a lot in the web based presentation tools chapter. It seems like a good investment for someone new or wanting to learn about internet sales. I think I'll probably pass on this forum for help, as in reading what has been written here, there doesn't seem to be anything of value. If anyone has any suggestions for some other forums for a person brand new to the business a would be grateful. Thanks

"there doesn't seem to be anything of value."
You seem articulate and willing to learn. But you're dead wrong on the statement above. I have been in the business for 29 years and I still pick up things from the Forum. I have gotten to know many people who have provided great ideas and are always there to share ideas as well.
Folks like Val and Dave (and others) are great sources for Web and SEO information.
You'll get out of this Forum what you want to get out of it.

Reason: why? I don't know. I just decided to make a change. A little one. Why do you care?
Re: Build and Automate Your Agency OnlineGo to Top
Chuck had no comment about him being in SD and his post is coming from Southern Cal. I would say it is Ricks mother but he probably still lives at home.
