Can anyone give me advice on AMBA? I have been an independent agent for a year and seriously considering going captive. I am struggling to sell health insurance in an area where people just don't want to buy or are taking a long time to decide. I love selling insurance, but really want to earn a living.
Does anyone know anything about AMBA? Association Member Benefits Advisors sells exclusively to members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. They handle all the mailings to retired teachers and provide the listing. It looks like a good deal.
I am concerned about having to give up all my other appointments, even though I am not earning a living still. Should I at least give it a try since I don't have a big book of business and really don't have a lot to lose at this point?
I would like to know if anyone else has any experience with them or working at as captive agent. If you know of a better company to work for as a captive agent please post that too.
