1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
5. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

Well done, Rick. Seems like a thread to which we could add as we go. How about this:
"I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in "A," "B," "C" and "D." Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to claim the right to dictate their moral beliefs to me?
And I am even more angry as a legislator who must endure the threats of every religious group who thinks it has some God-granted right to control my vote on every roll call in the Senate. I am warning them today: I will fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of "conservatism.""
The interesting thing is that from the best angle, all that crap is running UP her back.
Rick
That's what Roman Polanski said.

I dont know. Quite a few people in poor countries have cell phones. Oh wait, you are right if you deduct the number that are just used to set off car bombs.

Just for some general information, the tattoo on Angelina's left upper arm is there to cover the former Billy Bob Thornton tattoo.
I would guess that is the only tattoo that has any meaning that you or I would understand. I wouldn't might spending some time with her for an attempted explanation, however.

Maybe when she is in your neighborhood adopting children you can meet-up. I dont think she has adopted anyone for at least two weeks so could be making the rounds. She might even want to adopt you. Just don't tell her you are American though, cause that will kill the whole deal right there.
As flaky as she and Brad are, they are the only celebrity libs that have actually gotten down on the ground and dirty doing something for others.
Pitt is personally responsible for paying for, and more importantly, getting blisters and splinters building homes in N.O. Most of the Hollywood bunch talk a big line, but do nothing but maybe contribute 10 minutes of their time to this or that cause. Then they give each other awards for the "good" they have done. They are very big on giving each other awards, you know.

I see that point and have adjusted my thinking accordingly.
I remember after Katrina, Prince Charles and horse-face Camilla showed up in NO dressed to the hilt and walked amidst the rubble. Man, did they look out of place. Then I thought, you know that's damn decent. Yeh, it wasnt everything and maybe wasnt even much but apparently they didnt need to go in circles for months like some to at least stand up and be counted even though they are both a couple fuddy-duddies.

I do almost admire Pitt for doing what he is doing in New Orleans. They sure have him plastered on T-shirts every where. Pitt for Mayor.
Of all the Hollywood elite, he seems like the one I'd enjoy hanging with.
Certainly the various opinions offered by noted political scientists and economists Rosie O'Donnell, Michael Moore, Charlie Sheen, Joy Behar & Sean Penn have great value to Americans everywhere.
I have a bit more respect for those who actually lower themselves to our level and get their hands dirty, like Pitt & Jolie.
